Beginning on October 1st, I’m offering a midday express mat workout at Soulage we’re calling SLOW BURN.

MONDAYS 12-12:45, $27 drop-in or class pack/membership)

Drawing from a blend of Pilates and other strength practices, this 45-min class is an opportunity to reset your day, get moving, and achieve a satisfying burn with low-impact movements set to music in a gorgeous practice space.

ENTERING AUTUMN

Fall is the season of metal: what’s precious to us, what carries our communications, what holds a structure, what we return to after the sparks of true summer and the subsequent earthy late summer burn.

Containment, Protection, Novelty & Nostalgia

Both Air and Metal energies are expressed in the inner workings and activities of the mind, and in developing ideas, writing, and speaking. Degrees of mental clarity can be compared to Metal’s varying forms, which range from crude, impure, and dense ore to a shining, crystal-clear gem.

This season, we will focus on:

Lungs / backbending, opening and stretching, creating and maintaining space, meditating on the breath

Communication & Articulation / opening the throat, increasing lung capacity, clarifying our vision and how we communicate it outward

Emotional Balance / playing the ratio of joy and grief, striking a sweet chord, building and reinforcing the inner vessel before wintertime

DAGES WORKSHOP

October 10-12, 2025 in Baltimore

As soon as I return from Italy, I’m starting the final task of my Katonah Yoga®️ certification: a structured mentorship with the Katonah Yoga Center senior teachers.

And in an amazing stroke of luck, one of those master teachers, a huge name in the Katonah game, and all-around cool person Dages Juvelier Keates is hosting a three-day Katonah Yoga workshop in Baltimore.
